TENSOREX Installed on the Iconic Bio Bío Bridge in Chile

We are proud to announce that our spring tensioning solution, TENSOREX C+, has been successfully installed on the new Puente Ferroviario Biobío in Chile. This installation marks a significant milestone, as these are the very first TENSOREX units ever installed in the country. The project represents an important step in the modernization of Chile’s railway network and highlights our growing presence in the region.

Spanning the Río Biobío near the city of Concepción, the Bio Bío Bridge is part of a major investment to enhance passenger and freight mobility in southern Chile. Once fully operational, it will significantly improve capacity and reliability on one of the country’s most strategic railway corridors.

Our spring tensioners were selected for this project thanks to their proven performance, low maintenance, and long service life: key factors for critical structures such as long-span railway bridges. Their installation will ensure constant and precise tension of the overhead contact line (OCS), maintaining optimal performance under varying temperature and operational conditions.

This project is a strong testament to our commitment to supporting modern and sustainable railway infrastructure in Latin America.
